Client Direct Print

Print jobs sent from a client computer are printed immediately from a target device via SLNX PC Client during client direct printing.

  • To print from a USB-connected device, it is necessary to install SLNX PC Client on the client computer.

  • Print Rules are not applied when printing from non-RICOH devices. For details, refer to Supported Devices.

Description

  1. Add a Printer

  • Use the Printer Driver Packager NX/Ridoc Ez Installer NX software to create a printer driver package and install it on the client computer. Refer to Add a Printer for instructions.

  1. Manage the SLNX Embedded Applications

 

  • To use the secure printing functions on a device with the SLNX Embedded Applications installed, configure authentication and print-related settings in [SLNX Embedded Settings], and associate the device with a Delegation Server.

  • For details about [SLNX Embedded Settings], refer toManage the SLNX Embedded Settings.

  • For details about association with a Delegation Server, refer toDelegation Server Settings.

This setting is not required when direct printing is used on a device without Embedded Applications installed or on a non-RICOH device.

  1. Install SLNX PC Client on a Client Computer

  • Refer to the SLNX PC Client Installation Guide for instructions. .

  1. Register a printer to a client computer

  • Install the printer driver of the device to be used on the computer with SLNX PC Client installed, and configure a standard TCP/IP port.
