Notify the Device Status by E-mail
The system can be configured to send a notification by e-mail such as when a new device is discovered on the network or device error information is obtained.
There are three types of notifications: discovery notification, polling notification, and configuration notification.

Discovery notification: Configure a discovery notification if you want to be notified when the conditions to send a notification are fulfilled by discovery.

Polling notification: Configure a polling notification if you want to be notified when the conditions to send a notification are fulfilled by polling.

Configuration notification: Configure a configuration notification if you want to be notified when the conditions to send a notification are fulfilled by a configuration task.

To send notification messages, configure the SMTP server information in Networking. To create a mail server item, refer to Mail Servers. |

Register the destination e-mail addresses. In addition, specify the application to process the notification. You can register multiple e-mail addresses to the address list under the [System] → [Server Settings] → [Email Addresses]. Refer to Email Addresses for more details. |
