External Authentication Profile

Register the information of the external authentication server, such as LDAP, Kerberos, as an Authentication Profile, and import the device user information to Core Server.

You can setup the following external authentication profiles.

• Setup an LDAP Authentication Profile - After you set up an LDAP authentication profile in a cloud environment, please make sure to configure the Authentication Agent.

• Setup Kerberos Authentication Profile - The LDAP profile is required to configure Kerberos profile. When configuring Kerberos authentication, configure the LDAP profile also.

• Setup OpenID Connect (OIDC) Authentication Profile

Configuring an external authentication profile allows users of the authentication server to login to SLNX and to MFP with SLNX embedded installed.

If you would like administrators from external authentication server to login to the SLNX management console, please create a User Role in [System] → [Security] →[User Role] and assign the external authenticator's group id as [LDAP group name]. For more details, refer to Create a Custom Role.
