Configure Embedded Scan Properties

Configure settings such enabling the back key or choosing a default scan file format. Once you save these settings, you can apply them within an Embedded Setting Profile.

1. Click [Configuration] → [Streamline NX Embedded Settings] → [Embedded Scan].

2. Click [Add].

3. Enter the Configuration Name and its description.

4. Check [Back Key Enabled] to show the Back button on the device's Embedded workflow screen. When this option is not checked, the Back button will not appear to the MFP user.

5. Choose either PDF or TIFF from the [Default File Format with No OCR] field. If the device does not have the OCR module installed, this option should be set to PDF only. PDF is set as the default value.

   To enable this option on the MFP, you must also select "OCR scanned, multi-page” format when configuring the Workflow Design. Refer to Workflow ® Workflow Design. Click on the Process tab, and locate the File Format field. Choose the "PDF (OCR scanned, multi-page) option from the list.

6. Click [Save].
