Security Settings Polling
Use this feature to retrieves the current security and network configurations of the selected device(s), and then display the settings in the Device Properties window under Security Settings tab. As with as other polling options, Security and Network settings polling can be scheduled or requested for a specific device.
Create a Polling task
This polling task retrieves data from devices managed by an on-site Delegation Server. For devices that are managed by DM Agent, see steps below.
The Security Settings Polling tab is displayed when a new Polling task is created. Follow the steps below to set the security settings polling:

On the Navigation tree, click [Discovery & Polling] ⟶ [Polling].

Add a new polling task.

Set the Item Name and Description.

On the Security Settings Polling tab, set the values below.

Disable Schedule – By default this option is checked.
Schedule – Select your preferred schedule type on when you want the security and network information be retrieved from device(s). Set on Details pane for the exact time, date, or interval the data will be retrieved.

Save the polling task

Wait for the scheduled time or click Run Immediately to poll data right away.
Set SLNX DM Agent Polling option
This polling task can retrieve security and network settings from DM Agent managed devices. Refer to Set DM Agent Polling

On the Navigation tree, click [Discovery & Polling] ⟶ [SLNX DM Agent]⟶ [Polling].

In the SLNX DM Agent Polling screen, set the Security Settings Polling value:
Security Settings Polling – Set to Off if you don’t want to include security and network information to be retrieved.
Time of the Day – If the polling is set to On, specify the exact hour and minute you want the information to be retrieved. The accepted value is in 24-hour format.
The value set here will not affect or poll from devices managed by on-site DS.
Request Polling
If you want to retrieve security and network information by not running the polling task or waiting for the schedule, you can immediately poll by using Request Polling.
To view this menu, right-click on the device(s) in Devices tab.
Check only Security Settings Polling and click OK. The device security and network settings are retrieved and displayed in device properties window.
The scheduled polling task in both DM Agent managed and device in on-site DS, will still run and retrieve information even if you already requested an immediate polling.
Device Security Properties
You can check the device security and network information when you select a device and check the Device Properties section.
- Main Properties tab – The Security Settings Poll Time displays time and date the security settings was polled whether the action is done by schedule polling, request polling, or run immediately.
- Security Settings tab –All settings retrieved from the device after security settings polling are displayed on this tab. If you set a scheduled polling, the values will be updated after the scheduled polling time.
This feature is available only in English. If the selected SLNX UI language is not English, the tab will still display the settings in English.

The Base license must be applied to ensure that the Extended Item Settings are successfully retrieved. Note that this is only for devices that are registered to a DS server. Any devices that use a DM Agent to retrieve the Security Settings by polling are not restricted by this requirement.
