Server Direct Print

Print jobs sent are sent from a client computer via a TCP/IP port to the Delegation Server. Print rules and job processing is applied at the Delegation Server, and then print data is sent accordingly to the printer.

  1. Manage the SLNX Embedded Applications

 

  • To use the secure printing functions on a device with the SLNX Embedded Applications installed, configure authentication and print-related settings in [SLNX Embedded Settings], and associate the device with a Delegation Server.

  • For details about [SLNX Embedded Settings], refer to Manage the SLNX Embedded Settings.

  • For details about association with a Delegation Server, refer to Delegation Server Settings.

This setting is not required when direct printing is used on a device without Embedded Applications installed or on a non-RICOH device.

  1. Define a Shared Printer on a Delegation Server

  • Install the printer driver of the shared printer to the Delegation Server, and configure the standard TCP/IP port. Also, configure the printer to be shared on the network.

  1. Register a printer to a client computer

  • Copy and register the shared printer configured on the Delegation Server to the client computer.
