Register the Exchange EWS OAuth2 Client Application

Follow the instructions below to create a Mailbox using Exchange EWS with enabled Exchange OAuth2 with the following information:

  • Tenant ID
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  1. Login to the Entra ID portal at https://portal.azure.com.

  2. Click Entra ID Active Directory in the left-hand navigation.

  3. Click App registrations under Manage.

  4. Select + New registration.

  5. On the Register an application page, set the Name to a friendly name for your app.

  6. Set Supported account types of your choice.

  7. For Redirect URI, change the dropdown to Public client (mobile & desktop).

  8. Set the value to urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob

  9. Click Register.

  10. After the application is registered, the application details are displayed on the page. Copy the values of the Application (client) ID and Directory (tenant) ID and save them, they will be used to configure your mailbox in SLNX.

  11. Click Manifest in the left-hand navigation under Manage.

  12. Locate the requiredResourceAccess property in the manifest.

  13. Add the following inside the square brackets ([]):

  1. Click [Save].

  2. Click  API permissions under Manage.

  3. Confirm that the full_access_as_app permission is listed.

It is very important that the permission is granted, please ask your Global Administrator to grant the permission listed. If you are the Global Administrator, please select Grant admin consent for org and accept the consent dialog.

  1. Click Certificates & Secrets in the left-hand navigation under Manage.

  2. Click +New client secret, enter a short description and the select the expiration.

  3. Click Add button.

  4. Copy the Value of the newly added client secret and save it. It will be used to configure your mailbox in SLNX.
