2-Step Validation Support

CA or Post Processing Plugins can support a 2-Step validation, sometimes called manager approval. As a feature, any Generic Plugin can easily be created to support 2-Step validation. A Polling Interval Tab indicates that a plugin supports 2-Step validation.

Manual configuration is not required to enable 2-Step validation. CES automatically decides how to handle the communication and if supported or required it enables 2-Step automatically.

In this example the Plugin will send the Certificate Signing Request to the CA and if a unique tracking ID is provided then CES will request the certificate every 30 minutes. This gives the customer full control over the certificate approval process.

Not all plugins support 2-Step validation.
