Server Encryption Settings

[Server Encryption Settings] is not displayed when newly installing RICOH Streamline NX.

Item Description
Disable Blowfish This option is displayed when upgrading Core Server from a previous version to 3.2 or later. When all components of RICOH Streamline NX used on your network are upgraded to version 3.2 or later, select this check box to disable Blowfish and enable AES encryption only. The process is irreversible.
Disable Blowfish for Capture

Select this check box to use AES instead of Blowfish to encrypt the data scanned and processed on the RICOH Streamline NX system.

if the Precautions about Blowfish encryption check box is pre-selected, it cannot be changed when:

  • [Disable Blowfish] in the [Capture] tab in [System][Server Settings][Delegation Server Settings] has been selected in the version before upgrade installation

  • The [Disable Blowfish] and [Disable AES 128] check boxes are selected

Disable AES 128

This option is displayed when upgrading Core Server from version 3.6.x or earlier.

When all components of RICOH Streamline NX used on your network are upgraded to version 3.7 or later, select this check box to disable AES128 and enable AES256 encryption only. The process is irreversible.

The RICOH Streamline NX version 3.7 or later clients encrypt data with AES256. All components of older system should be upgraded in the following priority: The Core server Delegation servers MIE servers, RICOH Streamline NX PC Clients RICOH Streamline NX Embedded Applications

Precautions about Blowfish encryption

In RICOH Streamline NX version 3.2 or earlier, only Blowfish encryption is available for the scanning function.

If there is any component which does not support AES encryption in the environment, an error may occur.

When the versions of the RICOH Streamline NX Server and RICOH Streamline NX Embedded Application are different, see the table below:

Debug Log Download

  1. Specify the source for the log download:

  • [SLNX Device]
  • [MIE Intranet Extender server]
  • [Delegation Server]
  • [PC Client]
  1. Add one or more servers or groups to the Target on the right.

    • If you selected SLNX Device as the source, you have the option to Download Device LogTrace, limited to a custom date range. This will gather details about the selected Ricoh devices that have the DM Agent installed only.

    • If you selected Delegation Server, Exclude Rx Inst Logs and Exclude Rx Conf Logs are disabled. Uncheck one or both option to include these details instead. However, these are disabled by default because the directories are very large and do not include substantial useful data for this purpose.

  2. Click [Initiate Download]. Click [OK] to close the window.

  3. Click [View Downloads].

The View Downloads screen shows all logs available to download.

If you right-clicked on a device in the Device List and chose the Device LogTrace Download option from the menu, an initiated download appears here in this screen.

  4. In the View Downloads screen, enable the checkbox for one or more logs, and then click Download. Note if the log is still processing for any chosen log, the Download button will not be available. Once the Status column changes to the Ready icon, you can proceed to download the log.

This action is traced and appears in the Audit log and in the Audit log Status Report.

@Remote Center RC gate ID Registration

You can register [RC Gate ID] of [RICOH @Remote Connector NX] when operating [RICOH @Remote Connector NX] and [RICOH Streamline NX] at the same time.

After [RC gate ID] is registered, [RICOH @Remote Connector NX] can send the device information stored in [RICOH Streamline NX] to the @Remote center to reduce the network load at device discovery.
