Device Administrator

The authentication information of the device administrator must be the same as that of the administrator who has all administrative privileges (Device Administrator, User Management, File Administrator, and Network Administrator).

When you open the Device Administrator tab, a default account is created. The default account details are as follows:

  • Profile name: default
  • User name: admin
  • Password:

Follow the steps below to create a device administrator account profile. You can create up to 300 Device Administrator accounts.

  1. Go to [Discovery & Polling] → [Access Profiles] and click the [Device Administrator] tab.

  2. Click (Add).

  3. Enter the necessary information.

    Profile Name

    Name the account you are about to create. This is a required field.

    Description

    This is an optional field.

    User Name

    Enter the user name used to log in to the devices with machine administrator privileges.

    The user name can contain up to 32 characters.

    This is a required field.

    Password

    Click the (Change..) button to enter and confirm the password.

    Enter the user name’s password.

    The password can contain up to 128 characters.

    This is a required field.

    Security Group Context

    Select the device group to which to allow access.

    The security group items are displayed when the group restriction function is enabled in the security settings, and you can restrict the device group to be specified for the template target.

  1. Click [Save] to create the account profile.
