Setup Security Connection Keys
This screen appears when configuring all server types. If you previously configured the Core Server and are now configuring a Delegation Server or an MIE Server, enter the saved key then click [Next].
If you are configuring a Core Server, on the "Security Connection Keys" screen, click [Generate] as necessary.
A key is generated when the Core Server is installed. Be sure to make notes of the key and store it in a location only visible to the administrator. The stored key has the following applications:

RICOH Streamline NX PC Client (optional) |
Specifying of this key is optional. This is required to install SLNX PC Client to a client computer, to use Mac CUPS Filter, or to use SLNX Server Secure Print Port (HTTP(S)). You will also need this key if installing the USB Agent. Do not use # in the Security Connection Key as it is not allowed in the Mac CUPS Filter configuration. |
Embedded (optional) |
Specifying of this key is optional. This is used by the Management Console when installing the Embedded Applications to a device. |
User Management (optional) |
Specifying of this key is optional. This key is required when you are installing an application that uses the cooperating API provided by SLNX. If you are not using the cooperating application, leave the key entry field blank. |
Notes
- A key is generated automatically when you click [Generate].
- Do not use # in the Security Connection Key for SLNX PC Client when Mac CUPS Filter is used. In the other cases, you can specify any text string as the key.
- Leave the key entry field blank if you are not specifying any key.
