Install SLNX PC Client for Windows

You can install SLNX PC Client via an MSI package installer, either silently or manually. The MSI installer package also deploys the Java Runtime environment (if selected during installation) and if the Java Runtime environment is not already installed on the client computer. This version installs the software as a Windows service, and runs under the local system account.

Before you Start:

If you are running a version of PC Client prior to 23R1, you must first uninstall the software before running the new PC Client installer. The new PC Client installer is not backwards comptaible. Refer to Uninstall SLNX PC Client

  • Log on using a user account with Administrator privileges.
  • Close all running applications, and check that there are no print jobs on the computer.

  • Locate the installer: The SLNX PC Client installer is stored in the "PC Client" folder on the installation media. Use one of the installers according to your operating system:

    • The StreamlineNX_PCClient_x64.zip file is the installer for 64-bit Windows.
    • The StreamlineNX_PCClient_x86.zip file is the installer for 32-bit Windows.

PC Client Registration with the Delegation Server

PC Client will attempt to register with the Delegation Server the first time the user prints. If the registration is unsuccessful after a randomized amount of time (between 1 minute to 10 minutes), the user will be unable to print via PC Client. In this case, the Administrator must double-check all settings to confirm correct connection, certificate and licensing details.
