Send Batch Direct Printing

After you enable the global key for batch direct print and set up the fax numbers and printer address in the Mailbox, you are ready to send print jobs to the printers via email.

Prerequisites:

  • The Printer Address specified in the device list must have SLNX Embedded installed.

  • Users sending the jobs must be added to SLNX User Management with their email addresses.

To send batch direct printing, complete the following steps. In this scenario, the print job will be sent to devices 10.1.1.20, 10.1.1.21, and 10.1.1.22.

  1. Create an email with the recipient: <account name>@<mail server>.

  • The <account name> must be the account set in the Mailbox.

  • The <mail server> is the mail server name used by the Mailbox.

For example: myaccount@mymailserver.com

  1. Add the fax number recipients: <fax number>@mail server>;<fax number>@mail server>.

  • The <fax number> is the fax no added in the batch direct print.

  • The <mail server> is the mail server name used by the Mailbox.

For example: 1234555@mymailserver.com, 1234556@mymailserver.com

  1. You can add as many fax number recipients as you like; ensure they were added in the batch direct print of device list.

  2. Add your print job in the body or via email attachment.

  3. Click Send.

When a device is unable to print the job, the print job will be treated as a secure print job. Thus, it will be displayed in the SLNX Secure Queue and in the MFP Secure Print. The User can authenticate and release the print job from any device.
