Add a Printer

To use the secure printing and direct printing functions of SLNX, configure the printer on the Delegation Server and client computer.

Perform the following operations according to the printing function that you will use, all described in the table below.

Print Type	Description
Server Secure Printing	Register a device with a configured SLNX Secure Print Port to a Delegation Server, and copy and register the shared printer to the client computer. To send print jobs to the Delegation Server in the cloud, register a printer with a configured SLNX Server Secure Print Port (HTTP(S)) on each client computer. To register a printer to a Delegation Server, refer to Define a Shared Printer on a Delegation Server.
Client Secure Printing/Client Direct Printing	Install SLNX PC Client on a client computer, and register a printer to the client computer. Refer to SLNX PC Client for instructions. To register a shared printer to a client computer, refer to Register a Shared Printer
Device Secure Printing	Use the Driver Distribution function to download the printer driver of a device, and install it to the client computer. You can also register a device with a configured Standard TCP/IP port to a Delegation Server, and copy and register the shared printer to the client computer. Device Direct Printing/Printing without using SLNX	Use the Driver Distribution function to download the printer driver of a device, and install it to the client computer. For information about the Driver Distribution function, refer to Distribute Printer Drivers
