Configure CAC/PIV Scan Settings

From the Configuration menu, select [CAC/PIV] ® [CAC/PIV Scan Settings] to view the settings described in the tables below.

Once you finalize changes, click [Save].
File Share Settings

Shared Folder 1-3 |
If applicable, enter up to three shared folder paths using the following path structure: //ServerName/DirectoryName |
DNS Search Suffix |
Optionally, enter a search suffix for the DNS search. |
Access as Logged In User |
To connect to the file server with the user account that is currently logged in, enable this option. |
Service Account |
To connect to the file server with a specific service account, enter the account’s User DN and Password. |
S/MIME Settings
These settings specify the server that will provide secure simple mail transfer protocol services for the CAC Scan application on the MFP.

SMTP(S) Server |
Host name or IP Address of the SMTP server. |
Protocol |
If SSL is enabled on the mail server, select SMTPS. Otherwise, use the default SMTP setting. |
Email Size Limit (MB) |
Set the email size limit, in megabytes, where 0 = no limit. |
Divide and Send |
If the email exceeds the file size limitation, enabling this setting will allow CAC Scan to try to divide the scan into multiple emails. If the attempt fails, the user is notified at the MFP. |
Digital Signature is always required |
Enable this option to require that all email sent from the MFP is digitally signed. The user who receives the email can verify that the email has not been tampered with. |
Encryption is always required |
Enable this option to require that all email sent from the MFP is encrypted. |
Encryption algorithm for mil domain |
Options are 3DES or AES-256 |
Encryption algorithm for other domain |

Appended message |
Optional field. Enter one or more lines of text that will be appended to any email sent directly from the MFP. |
Scan Destinations
These options determine which settings appear on the MFP.

If this option is set to None, then “Allow User to Specify Scan Destination” must also be set AND one of “Disable Scan to Email or “Disable Scan to Folder”. This is to ensure that if no default is set, the user is still able to specify a value. |
Default Scan Settings
Select the default settings on the MFP for scanning. The user can select other settings; however, the settings selected here will be used if the user does not change the default settings.
