Run the WfH Client Installer

Follow the steps below to install the Work from Home Client on a home PC:

If you prefer a silent installation, see WfH Silent Install.

  1. Login to the PC.
  1. Run the installer WfHClientSetup.exe.
  2. Click [Next]. The Work from Home Client Software License Agreement screen is displayed. Read the license agreement before accepting.
  3. After reading the agreement, select [I accept the terms in the license agreement] and then click [Next].

  4. (Optional) Select your desired folder location. By default, a folder location is already specified, but you can modify the path by clicking [Change…]. Click [Next] to proceed.

  5. Input the PC Client connection key in the textbox. This step is very important because it establishes a connection to SLNX Core. Click [Next] to continue.

  6. In the Core Server screen, enter the Server Address of the SLNX Core and the Server Port it uses. If the communication to SLNX Core uses SSL, enable the [Use SSL/TLS] checkbox, and enable the [Trust all Certificates] checkbox. By default, the SSL/TLS is checked. Click [Next] to continue.

  7. In the Proxy screen, check the [Enable HTTP Proxy] checkbox only if your server uses Proxy server. The Proxy server username and password are also required. Click [Next] to continue.

  8. In the Work from Home Local Port screen, enter the port connection number. The default is 9090. Click [Next] to continue.

You are now ready to install. Click [Install] to proceed, and when the install is complete, click [Finish] to close the installer.

  • The install automatically installs and starts the RICOH Work from Home Service on the computer. Completing the installation will run the Work from Home service automatically. To check the service, open services.msc and look for the RICOH Work from Home Service. The service must be running to detect WfH devices.
  • The WfH Client service will use a printer’s IP Address and Port to communicate to the WfH device. You can add the printer to a PC via TCP/IP or USB.
